The Qiwang Belvedere was added to the building complex on the south of the hill during the Qianlong reign of the Qing dynasty, with a tablet of Confucius consecrated so that the imperial school students could worship the sage.
The Qiwang Belvedere is 5 bays wide and 3 bays deep with a gable-and-hip roof of yellow glazed tiles. A plaque with the Machurian and Chinese inscription of “Qi Wang Lou” (Qiwang Belvedere) is hung on the tower. There is a corridor in front of the eaves, decorated with xuanzi colored paintings and fenced by a white-marble balustrade.
